Acceptable

If you don't want features at all, just a basic DVD player application; then Ants DVD Player passes the test.
I was unable to do common DVD player features; I could not zoom, slow motion playback, I could not even make the video go to full screen.
There were also no audio controls besides volume. No simple bass & treble boost, if not a graphic equalizer like Win Amp always had.
Some of the above features may actually exist; but it is impossible to read any of the user interface controls, except the obvious play, stop, pause, previous and next controls.
You'd have to see what I mean. The download page I used is http://ants-dvd-player.antsdvd-com.qarchive.org/
This was absolutely spam or virus free. It is also easy to uninstall. So its zero risk

No Directions

Unfortunately the downloaded player had no control or operation captions. I use a Toshiba Satellite notebook with Windows XP.

Ants DVD player

The program is fine and solved a problem I was having. (I was having trouble playing a DVD-9 format movie that I bought.) The graphics quality is only OK, since some things appear a bit pixelated, which could also be the DVD I'm playing. The interface needs a bit more work because the buttons are unlabeled. However, it's a functional work in progress. Thanks.
